I’m not a C# programmer, but this article on programming the LCD of HP printers was too good to pass up the opportunity to learn. Well, not so much learn as hack my way through Visual C# 2005 Express Edition to compile the code that was already written. In any case, I ended up with an executable that when run will change the text on a networked HP printer to anything that you specify. Think of the fun! I currently have my printer saying “Go Away†:) Since compiling was such a bear, I’ll gladly pass around my exe to anyone that wants to incite havok in their own office.
